Excited!

So it's a bit unusual that I would be writing a blog first thing in the morning. I managed to have a few minutes up my sleeve and feel like I've been pretty slack with it for the last few days. And I'm just SO excited!!

One sleep and I will be losing my plane-ginity! Off to Adelaide to visit a very important person. Very excited!

So as you can imagine my bank account is going to be a bit miserable after this weekend. It will be entirely worth it though.

Also planning to finally get my very own computer today. So I'm very excited about that too.

The week has just flown by and I feel like it's been a very time poor kind of week. Which is a little frustrating. Was hoping to be a bit more on top of things when I left tomorrow. I'll be doing a frantic pack tonight I imagine. Shall be a bit intense! Don't know what I'm going to take... need to make some lists I think!

Anyway, I better get going.

Half gone.

It's only Monday and I already feel like my week is half gone! I can see it's going to be a hectic one!

Glee was so awesome tonight! Loved the new songs. And the all boys school always has me captivated. So cute how Kurt and Blaine are together. N'aww.

Rarely Quiet Weekend

Been a rather relaxing weekend in some ways. I stayed down and didn't go home on Friday. Stayed in and had the biggest chicken schnitzel roll ever! It had three layers of chicken schnitzel! Dad would love one of them. I also watched the Social Network. It was really good. I've waited a long time to see it but I feel it has lived up to my anticipation. Though I did get to the end and feel like I wanted more. I wanted something else. It left me a little bit unsatisfied.

Saturday morning I went into the city and did some window shopping and caught up with some friends for the day. Also went and looked at the Screen Worlds exhibition at Fed Square. That was pretty cool! Though looking at the Play School exhibit I was shocked to see they didn't have the real rocket clock. It can't be. The rocket clock is HEAPS bigger than that! And also decidedly "little" Ted is rather big! Otherwise had a quiet Saturday night in (the first in a while) watching A Walk To Remember and doing a bit of homework.

Today was pretty much all homework too. I think I've almost got this History thing done. Just got to put it into a presentation pretty much and then hope to goodness that I get a pass and don't actually have to look at it again. Ever.

Just finished off some painting which was surprisingly relaxing to do.

So I had a rarely quiet weekend. I don't think I will get another for quite some time! Hmmm.... another week is upon us! Best head to bed!

Hate.

Very late night last night. 4AM I made it to bed. Ridiculous. I hate trying to be a dedicated student and getting nowhere! This also resulted in a slight oversleep this morning. I don't know if I've been quite this keen to go to bed in a while!

Three-Six-Three-OOOOOH!

So I've been a bit slack on the blogging front. It's been a while. I just couldn't really be bothered to sit in front of a computer and blog while I was spending some quality time at home.

So. What have I been doing with all of this time?

On Friday I got back home and watched Whip It which has Ellen Page and Drew Barrymore in it. And this guy that is so like Owen Wilson it's not funny. I spent the whole movie wishing it was him too. I think it may of been his brother. There voices are pretty much identical! Was quite an enjoyable watch. Something a bit different but of course with the typical kind of predictable storyline. Was pretty cute. I'd give it about a 3/5.

Then on Saturday I watched The Ugly Truth. (another finally) That's the one with Katherine Heigl. It was one of those movies that I knew it was going to be a bit rude and.... I can't think of a word to describe it... kind of.... truthful I guess. Anyway, even though I knew it was to be like that I still felt a little shocked when it was like that. But I really enjoyed it none the less! quite funny. And I just love Katherine Heigl. I give it a 3.7/5.

Apart from this I then went out on Saturday night. Got into bed at a ridiculous hour, just how I like it! Then got up at 10am to get ready for the 3630 Music festival. It was fantastic. Despite getting saturated as a storm went through. And getting mud all over me. (We were just walking through a lake for the rest of the day after it rained) It was quite awesome. Except we were just buying shirts when the storm came through and then when it went away the people had packed up and we couldn't get them anymore. It was pretty depressing actually!

And Angus and Julia Stone were AMAZING. So fantastic. Just.... wow! So worth it. Claire Bowdich was also there and she was amazing also. It was a fantastic day! Though by the end of it, which I think was about 12am by the time it finished, we were so dead on our feet. A McChicken burger has never tasted so amazing! So that was all very good.

Had a birthday lunch for my brother yesterday where we had the best ever ice-cream cake. Think a brownie base, and then layers in no particular order with choc mint choc chip, oreos and vanilla, chocolate and marshmallows and possibly another one which I can't remember. Just amazing!! Also caught up with some family when I got back to the big smoke last night. That was nice. But another late night as I came home and did a little homework before crawling off to bed.

I'm not going to lie. I was gutted when my alarm went this morning. I definitely was not keen for that. But we had drawing this morning which we had to do skeleton for. And let me tell you, skeletons are hard to draw! But I was pretty happy with my final product. May photograph and show if I can be bothered later.

Best thing today was the crunchy leaves on the side walk. I love the crunchy leaves. I just go out of my way to step on them. Also finally got some new(but actually old) music onto my phone while I was home. I definitely enjoyed listening to Every Second Counts, the Plain White T's. I forgot how much I loved that album.

So yeah. Life is awesome right now. Until tomorrow night when I once again have to attempt to finihs that stupid history stuff! Why do I always leave it until the last minute?!?!?

Ridiculous

So I stayed up till a ridiculous hour last night as well as spending the entirety of the day trying, trying, trying to complete the current history assignment. I even stayed in on Tuesday night! (I'm so keen to hit a dance floor this weekend!)! You would think that it was some sort of 10,000 word piece of work with the time I've spent trying to get it done. It' actually quite embarrassing. And I still didn't finish it. I feel like I'm fighting a losing battle. But anyways.

Apart from the misery of yesterday today was good. Except I'm sure my friends got very sick of me complaining about history. But it's ok because tomorrow is Friday and Friday is the BEST day.

Somehow I have this terrible craving to go on a spending spree. Big W had some really nice doona covers on sale until yesterday too. I was hoping to get to that but it didn't quite happen!

I even finally went and bought a netball ring and netball! I'm a bit excited. Finally I will be able to practice! Pity tomorrow I will come home and have to rush around and leave again. I won't really get a chance to christen it until Monday! Been keeping up the gym. Quite enjoying it really.

Dark Chocolate is amazing. I just thought that obvious statement needed to be stated.

Get to go home tomorrow. It's going to be a very very busy weekend! Can't wait.

Anyway, it's very late again. Just finished up some homework on Intellectual Property and am entirely ready for bed.... after I have a little relax on the couch with some ice-cream and watch some How I Met Your Mother. ;)

Feet can't win.

Heard and old favourite when I was at the gym today. Sugar Sugar by Baby Bash! I used to love this song! Takes me back to when I was about twelve and had only just really started listening to pop music on the radio. Or the radio really!

I cannot win with my feet at the moment. Managed to get some really annoying blisters on the sides of some of my toes on the same foot that I had the bad one that got infected on my heel. That one is getting a lot better though. Still there looking like a bit of a bruise but it's almost fully recovered! Only taken three weeks!

Severely craving dark chocolate, raspberry bullets and pepsi-max right now! I don't know if it's good or bad that there are none in the house at the moment. I may have to fix that tomorrow.

Been trying to be productive for this history but distractions are getting the better of me. Here's another quote for you:

Tomorrow is the day. It MUST be done.

Real News?

Had the best most amazingly awesome chicken wraps for tea tonight. So very good. So long since I've had a wrap and these were just orgasmic! And pineapple. I'm loving pineapple so much these days!

So I missed Glee last Monday and had to catch up today before watching the new one tonight. Totally loved last weeks episode. Love that they did some Bieber tracks. Was pretty cute and quite funny really. Though Finn attempting Bieber was not a good look! Tonight's episode was also quite entertaining. The whole teen drinking storyline was quite amusing how they screwed up and learnt a lesson and managed to get away with it all without much consequence.

I really shouldn't even mention these things because that's then contributing to exactly what I'm hating on at the moment. I'm so sick of hearing about this girl and Nixon and the St Kilda football club. That child needs help and all these media people paying her for a story isn't going to do her any good. I'm also extremely bored of hearing about Charlie Sheen. He is also in need of some serious help. It's just a joke. I want to hear about something more interesting or at least something more important about what is going on in the world and just in general hear about something that doesn't encourage bad behaviour as a way of getting paid a lot for some media attention! I want some real news!

In an attempt to leave you with something interesting here's a cool picture that I came across at uni today when we were looking at figure-ground.

What do you see?

Short.

Was home for the weekend. Was pretty good. My baby brother has changed so much. He's not a baby any more! It's only been two weeks but he got a haircut and looks so different. Scary stuff! Makes me sad to think of how much of his dramaticly steep learning curve I'm going to miss. Then again I will be seeing him pretty much every week. Netball season starts shortly so I might only have one weekend where I'll actually be staying here before netball season starts now.

Made it a reasonably social visit, catching up with some friends and making the most of my Saturday night. Looking forward to next weekend being the long weekend!

Didn't get much homework done. Got what had to be done, done. This history thing is hanging over my head though. Driving me mad. I feel like it's going be so hard to complete and struggling to feel motivated to do it.

And my ears are all blocked up and funny at the moment. Got a cold thing going on and my nose is running like a tap. So my head is all stuffy. Fun fun!

I'm kind of obsessed with this song at the moment. Like we Used to - A Rocket to the Moon. It's a bit cute.

I can't believe it's already been four whole weeks! Week five is knocking on the door!

Possibly an Addiction

I think I have a problem. An eating problem. Possibly an addiction?

I have just had the biggest dinner in a long time. Sooooo much food. The roast meat, chicken wings, ribs, potatoes, onions, sweet potato, pumpkin, a bit of salad and to top it all off I could NOT resist the desert of chocolate marshmallow moose and lemon sorbet. I thought it was ok, but once it all settled.... wow. Full as a goog you might say! Full as a goog! But gosh it was good. Such good food!

But despite my fullness I still want a piece of chocolate. I'm full as you can be and I just want that sweet and creamy chocolate on my tongue. So yes. I believe I have a problem. Hmmmm. Chocoholics anonymous?

I think I also have a bit of a cold coming on. My throat has been niggling me all day. I feel like I've inhaled a bit to much of someone's second hand smoke or something. It's just dry and and annoying.

Started my program at the gym. Was hard but You can definitely feel it and I guess that's the main thing. The slightly hard bit is the walk home afterwards. But oh well. I really want to get fit again. And I need to do that exercise in walking there and back. Today my backpack was just much to heavy though. I don't know how it gets so heavy. I guess the extra pair of shoes makes a difference. I really need to go MINIMALIST in my back pack though. It makes such a difference.

You may wonder why I shouted 'minimalist'. I shouted minimalist because for history at the moment we are doing a 'major research task' and we have to study two art movements. One of mine is Minimalism. It's a bit annoying but I guess it's all interesting enough. I just find history my least favourite class of them all so far. It's just so long! (4 hours) And I feel like I'm very unproductive in them. I don't know why.

Anyway, so tired! Best head to bed. Heading home tomorrow! Bit exciting!

Dreading

So today we had life drawing. I've been dreading it ever since I knew we were going to be doing it. But turns out it's not as bad as I thought it would be. A plus for the day. And to make things even better our afternoon class was pretty fun. So all in all today has been pretty good.

Otherwise I don't really have anything interesting to say. Gym session yesterday was basically a fitness test which has shown me that I definitely to up my fitness level. Bit more average than I thought I was. But I hadn't put on any weight, which I was quite relieved about. Probably have lost some muscle since my lack in netball trainings though. Really need to get a netball and ring. Badly badly badly. Should probably actually do something about that!
