Sunday Summary 9/9/2012

This week has been busy as usual. 

Been pumping 360 still and haven't really checked out any other new music. 

Attempted to watch Red Riding Hood and failed. Not my kind of movie.

So very close to finishing My Sisters Keeper!

Another 21st celebration this weekend and thinking a lot about my own. Finally finalised my invitation design and am in the process of getting them ready to send so that's a bit exciting!

Also finally got my new iPhone! Even though it's so close to the next version coming out. But I just couldn't wait any longer. And I'm totally in love!

Otherwise, just enjoying things going to plan!

Sunday Summary 2/9/2012

So just had one of the best weekends! Netball team is into the grand final, so that's pretty $#$%$%&$#@$% ! ! ! exciting! I've been playing netball at this club since I was 11 and I've never had the chance to play in a grand final with them! Also got to be super proud of my superstar little sister who is my idol right now!

Also helped one of my very best friends celebrate her 21st which was a fantastic night with a music themed dress up which involved many fantastic costumes! Including the DJ Lance from Yo Gabba Gabba, which very much impressed me. Along with a few Lady Gaga's of course! And even an iPod! That was probably the coolest costume there. This girl made it herself and put speakers on it and everything!

It also involved a bit of joint birthday celebration for my sister who had her birthday during the week. This involved some rather delicious burritos and some rather impressive ice-cream cake!

Was a bit funny, on Friday I was rummaging around to find some stuff to take home for the costume party and just happened to find my lovely hats that I bought last year. That's right. On the very last day of winter I found my lovely cosy winter hats that I obviously hadn't looked hard enough for all year! Unlucky! And Spring certainly brought us some lovely mood boosting weather! So yes, awesome times!

As far as music goes this week I have definitely been loving 360's album I purchased last week. Especially Just Got Started, Child, Throw It Away, Run Alone, Meant To Do and Hope You Don't Mind.... but I really just love the whole album.

There was one disappointing thing though. I wasn't able to get my new iPhone that I've been counting down to getting for a few months now and especially for the last few weeks since smashing my own phone. So next weekend hopefully I'll be able to fit it in. I cannot wait to get my hands on it! I even already have the cover!

Sunday Summary 5/8/2012

So this week being without my phone, my poor broken phone that I accidentally killed last weekend, has been rather frustrating. All the info that was stored on the phone that I've now lost. All gone. Lucky Mum's old one is available to use until I can get a new one on my plan at the end of the month. Counting down the days! Not only that but the phone has a different headphone plug to the usual so mine don't plug in and I can't listen to the radio which means I'm having triple j withdrawals!

I finally finished reading The Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks(The Notebook, The Last Song). Shall fill you in on my thoughts in the next The Flave. So now I'm onto the second Hunger Games book, Catching Fire.

Was my little sisters 9th birthday this weekend. Not quite sure how she's that old already. Wasn't that long ago and she was just toddling around as a two year old... so anyway, birthday cake was on the menu. The cake was chocolate topped with icing, marshmallows, white chocolate and musk sticks! Prettttty delish!

Bought a new dress from Dotti that was marked down to $20 from somewhere around $70. I was pretty happy with that. It's blue and lacy and so pretty. I'm a little bit in love with it. Also bought some new dark navy blue jeans from Glassons. They were around $30 which was pretty good. Kind of in love with them also.

Sunday Summary 22/7/2012

This week I have been loving Loon Lake's Cherry Lips that they have been playing on triple j. Awesome song!

Taking a few trips down memory lane, getting all nostalgic and doing some things that I haven't experienced for a few years. Listening to some really old Britney Spears stuff. Making Jam Roly Poly which was something I used to help Mum make for sweets quite often. Also made some delicious pancakes with this recipe on taste.com. Was a lovely start to my Sunday. Netball was good as we notched up a win. The weather was even kind of nice for us!

I watched Princess Diaries with my youngest sister today. I still love this movie. This is the film that I will always remember Anne Hathaway in her role as the main character Mia. This was the first film she was ever in and in some ways this has always stuck with me and whenever I think of Anne Hathaway I have an instant association thought of The Princess Diaries and Julie Andrews. This also lead to the usual IMDb examination of what a lot of the cast have done since they were in The Princess Diaries.

Sunday Summary 15/7/2012

I've probably mentioned this song before but this week I cannot get Some Nights by Fun. out of my head. It's just stuck there and I love it! Also Feel the Love by Rudimental, which I know I have definitely mentioned before but it has been stuck in my head!

Took some of my siblings to see The Amazing Spiderman. Unfortunately it had to be a 3D screening as it was the only one on at the time that suited but I actually enjoyed the 3D though usually I don't feel like it makes much of a difference. My little brother is a particularly big Spiderman fan and I was keen to see it with Andrew Garfield in it so we headed off to the cinema and were not disappointed! A full review will be in the next The Flave. 

It was one of my dearest of friends 21st birthday this week so I cooked her some chocolate cupcakes! Haven't baked in ages! Was a bit of fun. Netball also went quite well this week with another solid win for the team. And I even went out on Saturday night and didn't get home until the early hours of the morning after a night on the dance floor which a have not done in AGES! So all in all a pretty fantastic week!

And now the depression hits as my holidays are over in less than an hour and tomorrow semester two twenty-twelve begins. I think it's more depressing because I was so sick at the start of them which I feel stopped me from doing quite a few things that I was going to. But ohhhh well. These things happen. And as usual I am actually a bit excited to get back to it.

Sunday Summary 8/7/2012

So I missed out on doing one of these last week. I got slack from being sick(excuses excuses) and didn't have much to summarise from a week of being in bed!

This week involved a shopping trip with my darling sisters and an extra long trip home due to a bad accident somewhere along the line. But it did result in some sweet purchases and some new favourite wardrobe pieces I believe! And a discovery of just how cute it is out at the Docklands shopping centre. It is my dream to live in the Docklands one day. It shall happen!

Also celebrated a siblings birthday which is always a bit of fun. It's a busy birthday time of year at my house at the moment! They made a pretty fab looking cake too!

Netball resulted in a safe win but I certainly think being sick has knocked me for six. Felt like a rubbish game on my part. But it's ok. We had ladies day which is an excuse for all the girls to have a few drinks together. It was probably quite tame in comparison to other years but entirely enjoyable all the same.

As far as music goes I've really not listened to anything new this week but I am in kind of in love with my sisters cover of Katy Perry's Wide Awake. When she gets a video up of it I shall ad a link here...

Sunday Summary 24/6/2012

So this week finished off semester one and has provided me with that slight feeling of freedom. I believe I managed to be "competent" and pass.

Everyone back home is sick with some pretty intense colds so after being home to visit for the weekend I will be using all the remedies I can and all the positive thinking to avoid getting it as bad as some of them but also hopefully not at all! Fingers crossed!

Music wise this week I bought Maroon 5's latest album, Overexposed on Friday, the day it was released! Haven't had the chance to listen to it HEAPS yet, but from the listening I have had I'm totally loving it. Also Allday have this cool track I've heard a lot on triple J this week, So Good. You can download some of their music at Triple J Unearthed. Also the Mystery Jets, Someone Purer is a pretty cool track. Van She, Idea of Happiness is another.

Netball provided a good win and a happy high. Also attended a ball with some friends which made for a fantastic weekend!

Sunday Summary 17/6/2012

This week has been plenty busy as usual! And kind of thrown out of whack with the long weekend.

Music wise apart from listening to a lot of The Temper Trap, Last Dinosaurs, Florence & the Machine and The Wombats I haven't really heard anything new that I've gotten into. Except I did hear a song that was kind of fantastic... but I don't know what it was called.... and the lyrics I can remember are really generic! So I shall have to do some detective work. Pushing me away from you is all I can remember. And then today I heard Katy Perry's new one for the first time, Wide Awake which I quite liked. Also reminisced to a bit of old Leona Lewis, Bleeding Love and other tracks from her Spirit album.

Actually made some liquorice slice this weekend which was fun. Haven't done such sort of food making for far to long!

Also finished reading The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins! Loved it! Shall feature my thoughts in the next The Flave.

The final week of the semester is about to begin.... and I think I'm actually ready for it. I feel like I'm on top of things studies wise.
